Bill Carpenter
Consumer Division Executive

Bill Carpenter is a consumer division executive for DriveCam Inc. In this role, he is responsible for identifying and developing new strategies, technology, and channels to keep DriveCam at the forefront of the market for driver risk management.

Mr. Carpenter is one of the original investors in DriveCam, served on the board for many years, including two as Chairman, and was also Interim CEO in 2004. His previous startup experience includes being CEO of TEAL Electronics, which he ran as a subsidiary of the public company to which it was sold, and as an investor and board member in a number of other San Diego technology companies.

After receiving an engineering degree from Princeton, Bill received his MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and attended many other schools while holding his first job at IBM.

Rusty Weiss
Director, Consumer Division

Rusty Weiss is the director of the consumer division at DriveCam Inc. He is responsible for the development of DriveCam's consumer product and service line. His duties include focusing on results-driven programs for improving the way teenagers drive.

Mr. Weiss's passion to help families protect their young drivers comes from his past experience with an emergency transportation service. He had previously been a part of the team at Mayo Medical Transportation for 13 years where he initiated several independent academic research projects. Mr. Weiss filled various roles at the company, including: system design, process management, strategic planning, special projects and general operations. He earned a BS in Biology from Loras College in Iowa.
