Brandon Nixon is chief executive officer at DriveCam.
Mr. Nixon is an entrepreneur and leader with a track record of leading successful, high-growth communications and technology-oriented businesses. Mr. Nixon joined DriveCam from ViaSat, where he served as senior vice president responsible for all of the company’s commercial businesses. Prior to ViaSat, Mr. Nixon was CEO of Enerdyne Technologies, Inc., when it was acquired by ViaSat. Earlier, Mr. Nixon served as the chief executive officer of Enerdyne’s parent company along with a sibling subsidiary, Boatracs LLC. Prior to joining Enerdyne, Mr. Nixon spent nearly two decades in a variety of executive, management and investor positions within the technology and communication industries, including Hewlett-Packard, Texas Instruments, PCSI/Cirrus Logic and SAIC.
Prior to joining Enerdyne, Mr. Nixon was a general partner with a private equity firm, Housatonic Partners, where he founded the firm’s communications practice. In his capacity as general partner, he invested in or acquired a number of telecommunications-related companies. Mr. Nixon holds a B.S. degree in Computer Engineering from University of California, San Diego and an M.B.A. degree from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Bill Ruff, CFO
Bill Ruff, CFO
In his role as CFO, Mr. Ruff is responsible for DriveCam’s finance, accounting, treasury, legal, IS and human resources matters.
Mr. Ruff has nearly two decades of experience leading financial management and corporate finance matters for companies in the U.S. and Asia. Prior to joining DriveCam in 2006, Mr. Ruff worked with rapidly growing communications, technology and subscription-based businesses on takeover, turnaround and strategic initiatives. As an investment banker with Salomon Smith Barney (Citigroup) and Daiwa Securities, Mr. Ruff advised global telecom and other clients on a wide variety of corporate finance and capital markets transactions. His responsibilities and duties have included SEC and financial reporting, equity and debt capital raisings, and financial planning and analysis for companies in rapidly transforming markets.
Mr. Ruff received a B.A. in History from Haverford College and an M.B.A. in accounting, finance and entrepreneurship from the University of Chicago.

Drew Martin, CIO

Prior to joining DriveCam as CIO, Martin was Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer for Sony Electronics where he was responsible for developing and implementing Sony Electronics’ information technology strategy. At Sony, Martin led the transformation of the information technology function. This included the consolidation of several ERP systems, the integration of disparate e-commerce, service, logistics IT functions and the adoption of Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) technologies. Before joining Sony, Martin was responsible for CRM systems at PepsiCo where he was Director of IT. There he led the teams that provided mobile network solutions and services to Pepsi Bottling Group’s international fleet of vehicles. Through these experiences he created large enterprise systems and operational capabilities to meet the special demands of a large-scale vehicle network. Prior to PepsiCo, he was a consultant with Accenture.
Martin graduated from Cornell University with a bachelor’s degree in engineering. He is on the Information Technology Advisory Boards for Sharp Healthcare and Droisys, Inc.

Rob Bartels, Product Management

Robert Bartels is vice president, product management. In this role he is responsible for ensuring that DriveCam’s products and services deliver on the value that clients expect from a Driver Risk Management program. Previously, Mr. Bartels was a sector general manager at DriveCam working directly with major clients in the energy, trucking and distribution, construction and concrete, and solid waste industries.
Mr. Bartels has more than 20 years of experience in developing and introducing pioneering technologies in the consumer electronics and PC industries. Prior to joining DriveCam, Mr. Bartels spent 10 years at Sony Electronics, where he served in a number of executive roles in product marketing, product management and business development. Most recently, Mr. Bartels launched a line of award-winning wireless video products, building and managing strategic alliances among a variety of Fortune 100 partners.
Mr. Bartels holds a Masters Degree in International Management from the University of California at San Diego and is fluent in Japanese.

Bill Carpenter, Consumer Division

Bill Carpenter is responsible for both the commercial and consumer insurance markets for DriveCam Inc. In this role, he is responsible for identifying and developing new strategies, technology, and channels to keep DriveCam at the forefront of these markets for driver risk management.
Mr. Carpenter is one of the original investors in DriveCam, served on the board for many years, including two as Chairman, and was also Interim CEO in 2004. His previous startup experience includes being CEO of TEAL Electronics, which he ran as a subsidiary of the public company to which it was sold, and as an investor and board member in a number of other San Diego technology companies.
After receiving an engineering degree from Princeton, Bill received his MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and attended many other schools while holding his first job at IBM.

Bryon Cook, Operations & Program Management
Bryon Cook, Operations & Program Management
Bryon Cook leads DriveCam’s program management team. His duties include business analysis and detailed requirements development that consider the entire system and all users within the system for all recurring programs and non-recurring projects. His team coordinates and monitors the prioritization of requirements, scheduling, and the technical performance of the company programs through project plans that cover the entire development lifecycle from business cases and requirements through development and the release process.
Mr. Cook has researched, designed and developed 27 mission-critical B2B products over the past 12 years encompassing over 200 functional releases and 500 data updates in a multitude of environments including financial, insurance, and IT sectors. Mr. Cook previously served as director of product management and quality systems at Mitchell International. He was in charge of product management, program management, marketing and quality assurance for the medical division. He also served as director of product management for Equative, Inc. and senior product manager for HNC Software. Mr. Cook earned an MBA and a BS in Business Administration from Washington University in St. Louis.

Eliot Feldstein, Business Development

Eliot Feldstein is vice president and general manager of business development. He is responsible for the company’s business development activities – developing and executing the company’s business strategy through partnerships, alliances and channel relationships.
Most recently, Mr. Feldstein served as president and chief operating officer of Ameranth Wireless, Inc., a leading application software provider to the hospitality, gaming and financial services markets. His previous experience includes serving as vice president of operations for Graviton Inc., an innovator in the development and deployment of remote wireless monitoring systems; pacific region vice president for Time Domain Corporation, where he led the company’s commercialization initiatives in UWB wireless communications; and venture general manager at ideaEdge Ventures, a wireless venture incubator. Earlier in his career, Mr. Feldstein spent a decade running major operations for both Matsushita Electric in Japan, and Sony and Qualcomm Personal Electronics in the US.
Mr. Feldstein holds a BA in Asian Studies from Harvard University, where he graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He is fluent in Japanese.

Brett Hoye, Engineering

Brett Hoye is vice president, engineering. In this role he is responsible for software and firmware development, integration and testing, along with event recorder and DriveCam Online development. In addition, he manages DriveCam’s IT department.
Previously, Mr. Hoye was vice president, development at TechnoCom, where he was involved in the development of a fleet management device and cellular network infrastructure equipment, as well as a large database application for analysis and reporting on wireless location networks. Prior to TechnoCom, he worked for PCSI/ADC Wireless.

Del Lisk, Safety Services
Del Lisk, Safety Services
Del Lisk serves as vice president of safety services for DriveCam Inc. In this role, he is responsible for developing safety policy and procedures and overseeing training for DriveCam’s fleet customers. His duties include administering the DriveCam Certification Program and directing the DriveCam Academy.
Prior to joining DriveCam, Lisk spent 21 years with Smith System Driver Improvement Institute, a leader in professional driver training. Most recently, he served six years as company president. While at Smith Systems, Lisk developed fleet safety programs and personally delivered training to more than 10,000 fleet drivers.

Doron Lurie, Sales & Corporate Development

Doron Lurie is vice president of sales and corporate development at DriveCam Inc. In this role he develops new markets and channels, differentiates our products and services, lowers cost and builds global scalability, and attracts funding, through strategic alliances, partnerships and acquisitions.
Mr. Lurie has more than 20 years of experience introducing disruptive technologies to the wireless, software and service industries. Most recently, Mr. Lurie served as senior vice president at ProfitLine, a venture-backed telecom expense management outsourcer. Prior to that, Mr. Lurie served as chief operating officer of CommNet Cellular, managing director of MobiLink, a nationwide joint venture of wireless companies, and led domestic market operations and international initiatives for Verizon Wireless/Vodafone Group. Mr. Lurie earned an MBA from Harvard University and a bachelor of commerce degree in South Africa.

David Riordan, Client Services
David Riordan, Client Services
David Riordan is vice president, client services. In this role, he is responsible for ensuring an unparalleled client experience – from implementation to deployment and ongoing program management.
Mr. Riordan joins DriveCam from Arrival Communications, which he founded 10 years ago. As COO, he created a reputation for outstanding service by understanding what his customers valued and building a business based on this premise. He spent his last 18 months at Arrival Communications working with TelePacific Communications (who acquired the company) building its account management and churn analysis, prediction and reduction capabilities.
Prior to Arrival, Mr. Riordan was a strategic management consultant with Mercer Management Consulting where he specialized in change and implementation management for telecom, insurance and energy companies. He received a B.S. in electrical engineering from Yale and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
