DriveCam Inc. President and CEO Presents at PRIMA Annual Conference
Bruce Moeller, president and CEO of DriveCam Inc., co-presented "City of Plano Drives Down Payouts on Accidents," with Joey Page, risk manager of City of Plano, Texas, at the 2007 Public Risk Management Association (PRIMA) Conference on June 11, 2007. PRIMA's Annual Conference is the largest risk management conference dedicated solely to the practice of risk management in the public sector.
Moeller and Page's presentation focused on the City of Plano's deployment of DriveCam and emphasized the importance of risk mitigation solutions. Moeller projected that, without direct action, the number of fatal automobile accidents will increase by 60 percent nationwide by the year 2020.
DriveCam greatly reduces risk by predicting and preventing driving behaviors likely to result in a serious incident, cutting insurance and personal injury costs by as much as 30 to 90 percent. An overall risk mitigation package, DriveCam allows enterprises to concentrate on their core business while DriveCam experts manage the program. The City of Plano case study presented by Moeller and Page provided a real world example of how one municipality decreased event frequency and severity.
