Lesson One: How to be Safer at Intersections

According to NHTSA, intersection crashes account for 48 percent of injury-related incidents and generate $101 billion of societal costs each year. In fact, more than 9,100 people died and another 1.5 million people were injured in intersection-related crashes in 2004 alone. Despite improved intersection design and more sophisticated applications of traffic engineering measures, the annual toll of human loss due to motor vehicle crashes has not substantially changed in more than 25 years.

"Good Morning America"
"Good Morning America" featured DriveCam in a segment about the importance of wearing a seatbelt while in the car. The story referenced a movie starring teen singer/actress Miley Cyrus, also known as "Hannah Montana," in which she was not wearing her seatbelt, and the real-life story of Kelsie Wade, whose parents installed a DriveCam in her car weeks before she was involved in a collision. Due to coaching from the Teen Safe Driver Program, Wade was wearing her seat belt when the accident occurred.

Antenna Systems & Technology
DriveCam's relationship with Ethertronics Inc. was showcased in the article "Ethertronics Embedded Antennas Enhance DriveCam's Automotive Driver Risk Management Solution." Specifically, the article described how Ethertronics Inc. supplies embedded antenna solutions for DriveCam's video event recorders.

Driving Today
DriveCam was highlighted in the recent article "Motivating Safety." The story describes how Valera Global has installed the DriveCam solution in the company's vehicles to protect the safety of its passengers and chauffeurs.

Concrete Producer
Concrete Producer featured an article by DriveCam CEO Bruce Moeller.The article, "Careless Cell Phone Usage: The Bane of Driver Safety," discussed the importance of predicting risky driving behavior and providing coaching to prevent future incidents and save lives.
