Introducing Risk InfoCenter by DriveCam
With an ever-growing repository of over five million risky driving events across 1500 fleets and a variety of industries, DriveCam has more knowledge on risky driving than any other company in the world. With the insight of its analytics team, DriveCam has put the power of data to use to help you better understand risky driving, so you can predict and prevent crashes, collisions and incidents within your fleet.
Lesson One: Safer Intersections
According to NHTSA, intersection crashes account for 48 percent of injury-related incidents and generate $101 billion of societal costs each year. In fact, more than 9,100 people died and another 1.5 million people were injured in intersection-related crashes in 2004 alone. Despite improved intersection design and more sophisticated applications of traffic engineering measures, the annual toll of human loss due to motor vehicle crashes has not substantially changed in more than 25 years.
DriveCam for Families is Launched
The DriveCam Driver Risk Management Program has been available for many years to companies who operate commercial fleets. However, knowing that newly licensed teen drivers are nine times more likely to crash than mature adults, many people have asked when DriveCam would become available for parents of teens.
Features and Services Update
Please note that DriveCam will be performing a System Upgrade beginning Friday night 6 pm PST, February 29 through Sunday, March 2.
Maguire International
Maguire International achievements occur within eight months of implementing DriveCam's Driver Risk Management Program.
Did You Know...
...that March is National Collision Awareness Month in the United States?
...intersection collisions account for 48 percent of all injury-related accidents?*
...intersection collisions generate $101 billion of societal costs each year*.DriveCam driving risk analysts recently analyzed data from events involving intersection collisions from the previous four years and determined that more than 75 percent of them could have been avoided if drivers were more visually attentive and applied the following fundamental driving rules:
- Look left-right-left before crossing
- Come to a complete stop at a stop sign and look before proceeding
- Look farther ahead
Don't become complacent and put yourself at risk. Always practice safe driving and remain visually attentive, especially in and around intersections.
