SAN DIEGO –  DriveCam Inc., a global Driver Risk Management company, today announced that it has partnered with Kwik Trip Inc., a La Crosse, Wis.-based fuel and convenience store company, to reward teens in Minnesota and Wisconsin who are enrolled in the Teen Safe Driver ProgramSM (www.teensafedriver.com).

DriveCam developed the Teen Safe Driver Program in conjunction with American Family Insurance to provide American Family customers a proven approach to help new teen drivers improve their skills on the road. American Family customers can register for the program at www.teensafedriver.com. Throughout 2007, enrolled participants who demonstrate safe driving habits will receive a $20 gift card, courtesy of KwikTrip, that can be used for fuel and other store purchases.

"DriveCam is pleased to welcome Kwik Trip as a partner with the Teen Safe Driver Program," said Rusty Weiss, director of DriveCam's consumer division. "This is a significant contribution on Kwik Trip's behalf and signifies their commitment to helping teen drivers in the local communities in which they operate."

The Teen Safe Driver Program helps parents and teens stay safe during the riskiest time behind the wheel – the first year of unsupervised driving – and encourages family discussions on real-world driving incidents and distractions to set expectations for improvement. Recognizing the program's ability to help teens in their market area drive more safely, Kwik Trip committed to supporting the Teen Safe Driver Program through an initial donation of $20,000 in gift cards and related giveaways.

"It's our pleasure to reward young drivers enrolled in the Teen Safe Driver Program who demonstrate safe driving habits," said Gary Gonczy, director of marketing for Kwik Trip. "We are aware of no other program with as much potential to reduce the epidemic of injury and death associated with teen crashes. The Teen Safe Driver Program helps parents mentor young drivers and helps protect them during one of the riskiest times of their life. Parents really need to take a look at this program."

Enrollees in the Teen Safe Driver Program earn rewards by minimizing the number of "risk points" they accumulate over time. Teens must receive less than five risk points per week to be eligible to earn Kwik Trip gift cards.
