DriveCam Inc. Announces New Chief Information Officer and Key Additions to its Senior Technology Staff

SAN DIEGO – DriveCam Inc., a global Driver Risk Management company, announced today that Tom Fisher has joined the company as vice president and chief information officer (CIO). In this role, Fisher will be responsible for external customer information systems as well as internal business and engineering systems at DriveCam. Joining Fisher at DriveCam in senior technical positions are David Hock and Arvind Gidwani.

Fisher brings more than 25 years of experience to his new role at DriveCam. During his career, he has held the titles of vice president, CIO, chief technology officer (CTO) and other senior management positions at several leading high-tech firms, including QUALCOMM, eBay, Gateway and IBM.

Prior to joining DriveCam, Fisher was vice president of IT at QUALCOMM's CDMA Technologies (QCT), the largest business unit at QUALCOMM. He was responsible for the global business and engineering systems that support QUALCOMM's semiconductor business. Before joining QUALCOMM, Fisher was acting CTO and vice president of architecture and technology strategy at eBay where he was responsible for restructuring the company's Web site to drive growth and eliminate outages. Previously, Fisher was the chief architect and vice president of global architecture, security and vendor management for Gateway Computers. There, he helped drive the firm's major e-commerce initiatives and was an integral part of Gateway's venture activities. Fisher began his career at IBM, where he led the firm's Vendor Alliances Program for Software. During his time at IBM, he helped establish one of the world's first corporate strategic investment funds.

Fisher holds a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of North Carolina, Charlotte (UNCC), where he continues to serve as an advisor to the College of Computing and Informatics. Fisher also was a founder of UNCC's Five Ventures Program which brings innovative technologies, venture capital and business leaders together for the state of North Carolina.

Fisher is an active advisor to several leading Venture Capital firms, including Clearstone Capital, Foundation Capital, JMI and Odyssey/Sail Venture Partners. He regularly is asked to participate in speaking engagements and lead CIO roundtables. Fisher has been a member of Oracle's Database Technology Advisory Board, Google's CIO Advisory Board and other private company advisory boards.

Hock and Gidwani will support Fisher in their roles as senior directors, IT.

Prior to joining DriveCam, Hock was vice president of technology and founding partner at Starcut USA Inc. where he led the development of the company's massively scalable mobile Web site hosting platform. He received a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and computer science at State University of New York, Stony Brook, and a master's degree in management and computer engineering from North Carolina State University (NCSU).

Gidwani brings more than17 years of experience in the high-tech industry, specifically in matters of infrastructure, storage, databases and applications, to DriveCam. Most recently, Gidwani spent six years at QUALCOMM where he served as a chief IT architect implementing several technology products in the storage, enterprise security, backup/recovery, disaster recovery and business applications for QUALCOMM's chip division. He received his education in India with a bachelor's degree in computer engineering. Gidwani has one patent approved in the area of message based e-commerce and has several other pending.
