DriveCam’s palm-sized, exception-based video event recorder is mounted on the windshield behind the rearview mirror and captures sights and sounds inside and outside the vehicle. RiskPredict optimizes how DriveCam prevents risky driving behavior. By eliminating unnecessary (low or zero risk) events and identifying patterns of behavior, it helps enterprises make more accurate decisions about risky driving in their fleet. RiskPredict focuses on the captured events that are the highest predictors of risky driving behavior optimized to highlight the root cause and help forecast future events.

In addition to eliminating unnecessary events, RiskPredict optimizes the duration and length of captured events. The Teen Safe Driver Program provides American Family customers in all eighteen operating states a proven approach to help new teen drivers improve their driving. The Teen Safe Driver Program is offered at no cost to American Family customers in the selected area who have a teen driver, for a period of one year. DriveCam is working with other insurance carriers; please check with yours concerning availability.

Additionally, in March 2008, DriveCam launched DriveCam for Families, which allows consumers to purchase the solution directly from DriveCam if they are not insured by American Family Insurance.
